Marine Scientist Myers Dies

I was reading the morning paper (The Daily News) and came across this article.
Ransom Myers, a 54 year old, Canadian scientist renowned for groundbreaking research and his blunt warnings about the extinction of marine species around the world is dead. He died Tuesday in Halifax after a brief illness linked to an inoperable brain tumour. He was a marine biologist who held the first Killam chair of ocean studies at Dalhousie University, he found out that global industrial fishing had cut populations of large fish, such as tuna, swordfish and marlin, to a mere 10% of the 1950 levels.
He has been described by his colleague, Boris Worm as being "an honest person who, informed the world about the dire state of the marine environment".
